What better way to spend a Sunday than at the bowlo, craft beer in hand as you watch the meat slowly cook on the spit. Come down to Flemington-Kensington Bowls club on Sunday October 6 (we’ve moved the date from September 8 due to weather) for Bowls, Beers & a Spit Day. We’ll have the greens open for a free barefoot bowl, we’ll have live music playing, jumping castle for the kids, 2 breweries showing off some of their delicious beers and meat rotating on the spit.
Get set for spit roasted lamb shoulder and chicken thigh marinated in roasted garlic, rosemary, parsley and olive oil, searved on a traditional Greek pita with tomato, onion, lettuce and yoghurt sauce. We’ll also have Jack Daniel’s pulled pork, slow cooked for 12 hours and served with coleslaw in a pitta pocket! Your ticket includes a souvlaki of choice and a beer for $20. We’ll have other craft beers on special from Fury & Son’s brewery & Moon Dog Craft Brewery.
Bring the kids for a play on the jumping castle, have a free barefoot bowl and kick back to some live music. It’s going to be a cracking day, so bring the family or a bunch of mates. Kids ticket includes a souvlaki and soft drink or juice however they are welcome to come down and enjoy the free entertainment without a ticket if they are not eating!
