Flemington & Kensington Bowling Club

Flemington & Kensington Bowling Club is Melbourne’s friendly, family club.

Whether you’re interested in barefoot bowls with friends, a venue for a birthday, wedding or corporate bowls day, a relaxed mid-week competition or taking part in Saturday pennant, Flem-Ken can help.

The club is pokies-free and has a variety of spaces inside and out, a pool table, two full-sized snooker tables and a table tennis table.

If it’s simply a casual get together with a group of friends or an event of up to 200 people, we can look after you!

Flem-Ken is proud to have the most interesting and extensive beer list of any bowling club in the Southern Hemisphere! Our selection includes 12 taps pouring the likes of West City Footscray Ale, Coopers Pale Ale, Two Birds Golden Ale, Edge Cool Hops Lager and Golden Axe cider. We also have a large range of local and international bottled and canned beer and cider. The selection is always changing.

A synthetic green allows bowls to be played all year round. We recently installed lights on our greens, allowing both night pennant and barefoot bowls to be played into the evening.

Since 1892 Flem-Ken has stood proudly on the junction of Racecourse, Epsom and Smithfield roads in Flemington. There’s plenty of free parking and the 57 tram from the city stops right outside and we’re just a short walk from Newmarket station, which is just three stops from the city.

If you would like to book a function, a rink for a barefoot bowls session or to enquire about our facilities please click here.
